Echlin Bone Biter 23 cm

The Echlin bone biter, 23 cm long,  is a surgical instrument dedicated to neurosurgical procedures, such as laminectomy. The working part of the tool consists of beaks that have been specially curved at an angle of approx. 45 ° . The purpose of the tool is to remove fragments of bone tissue. On the inside of the jaws there are grooves in the shape of elongated spoons, gutters. During the clamping, they touch each other with sharpened edges, allowing precise removal of small fragments of bone or intervertebral disc. The tool uses a spring mechanism and a gear that allows smooth opening and closing of the jaws. The handle is shaped like a pair of pliers. Additionally, the Echlin bone biter is equipped with a limiter located on the left arm of the handle, which prevents the tool from slipping out of the hand. The arms of the tool perfectly adhere to the curves of the hand during clamping.
