Pean straight vascular forceps, the so-called Rochester-Pean medical, are used for short-term closure of the blood vessel opening, preventing its canal content from escaping to the outside. The handle with a lock ensures that the tool is firmly clamped to the vessel during the procedure.

They belong to the instruments used in general surgery, vascular cardiosurgery, gynecology and obstetrics. Hemostatic forceps have various universal purposes: in dentistry, they can grasp small ends of tooth roots or extract loose objects.
